Description
A large tree, very dense and pyramidal when young. Black Hills Spruce is a naturally occurring variety of white spruce native to South Dakota. Its dark green tone will augment lending some life to your dull, winter landscape. Unlike some evergreens, Black Hills Spruce won’t prove difficult when it comes time to mow the lawn near it or perform other routine lawn work. The needles are short and soft to the touch rather than abrasive. They're fairly tolerant of harsh conditions, such as wind, heat and cold.
