Slow-growing and long-lived, Common Boxwood performs best in partial shade to full sun with well-drained soil and protection from harsh winter winds. Mature size: 3–5 m (10–15 ft) tall × 2–4 m (6–12 ft) wide, though it is often maintained much smaller through pruning.
