Prairie Star Persimmon (Diospyros virginiana 'Prairie Star') — A hardy deciduous tree valued for its glossy green foliage, attractive branching structure, and rich fall colour. This selection produces small orange fruits that provide seasonal interest and support wildlife. With excellent adaptability and long-term durability, Prairie Star Persimmon is well suited for specimen plantings, naturalized landscapes, wildlife areas, and larger landscape spaces. Performs best in full sun with well-drained soil. Mature size: 12–18 m (40–60 ft) tall × 6–9 m (20–30 ft) wide.
