Description
Tulip Tree (Liriodendron tulipifera) — A majestic deciduous tree known for its tall, straight trunk, distinctive tulip-shaped leaves, and beautiful yellow-green flowers with orange markings that appear in late spring. One of the fastest-growing native North American hardwoods, it develops a broad pyramidal canopy and provides excellent shade. Its bright green foliage turns golden-yellow in fall, adding strong seasonal interest. Best suited for larger landscapes, parks, and open spaces where it has room to develop. Performs best in full sun with deep, fertile, well-drained soil. Mature size: 20–30 m (65–100 ft) tall × 12–18 m (40–60 ft) wide.
